19, 2002 TO TEACH AN 8 HOUR TEACHER-TRAINING COURSE WITH A CERTIFICATE
OF COURSE COMPLETION. THIS COURSE IS FOR PARENTS, TEACHERS, AND
ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO TEACH CHILDREN YOGA, (YOU DO NOT NEED
YOGA EXPERIENCE TO LEARN THIS PROGRAM).
SOME
HIGHLIGHTS FROM RCYP INCLUDE:
*WORKING WITH PARENTS, BABIES, AND TODDLERS.
*WORKING WITH CHILDREN FROM TODDLERS UP TO PRE-TEEN.
*WORKING WITH PRE-TEENS, TEENS, AND YOUTH AT RISK.
*WORKING WITH ADD/ADHD CHILDREN, (More and more professionals
who work with autism, special needs, sensory integration, learning
disabilities, and ADD/ADHD are being trained in childrenís
yoga with great results. There is a natural affinity between these
children and yoga, since yoga addresses the whole child, including
the brain/body connection).
*CLASS MANAGEMENT, ENGAGING CO-OPERATION, PROBLEM SOLVING, AND
DIRECTING WITHOUT WORDS.
*TEACHING YOGA WITHIN THE SCHOOL SYSTEM.
*CLASS STRUCTURING AND MARKETING SKILLS.

IS AN IKYTA CERTIFIED KUNDALINI YOGA INSTRUCTOR OF 26 YEARS, A
TEACHER-TRAINER, A CERTIFIED MONTESSORI EDUCATOR, AND A 500 HOUR
MEMBER OF YOGA ALLIANCE. SHAKTA IS THE AUTHOR OF KEEP IT SIMPLE
SERIES (KISS) GUIDE TO YOGA, KUNDALINI YOGA, AND FLY LIKE A BUTTERFLY:
YOGA FOR CHILDREN. SHAKTA IS KNOWN FOR HER FRIENDLY, HUMEROUS,
AND DEEPLY PENETRATING STYLE OF TEACHING.
SHAKTA
WILL ALSO BE TEACHING A KUNDALINI YOGA CLASS, FRIDAY OCTOBER 18,
and A PARENT-CHILD YOGA CLASS ON SUNDAY OCTOBER 20.
THIS
3 DAY EVENT IS BEING HOSTED BY MANY HEARTS YOGA. THE MISSION STATEMENT
OF MANY HEARTS YOGA IS: AS A GROUP WE ARE DEDICATED TO INCREASE
THE AWARENESS OF YOGA IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA, BY SHARING THE JOY
AND OUR LOVE OF YOGA THROUGH WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS AND CLASSES.
