Sundays in April: Circle of Light Independent Spiritualist Church
A weekly gathering held from 6:45 – 8:30 p.m., on Sun. evenings, we share a service of prayer, song, messages from spirit with our mediums, and meditation. Occasionally, to meet the needs of families with younger ones who do not yet meditate, we schedule a service with an event or activity so that they can share a complete service with us as well. Quiet healing time is from 6:45 – 7 p.m. with the offering of energetic healing as time allows. Doors closed at 7 p.m. when service begins. All are invited. Family Support Network OFFERS FREE Parenting Education Class
at Valley Park Elementary School. Family Support Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse/neglect, will offer a four-week parenting education class beginning Thursday, April 3, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Valley Park Elementary School, One Main Street in Valley Park. The free class is geared toward parents with children ages 5 to 12 and open to residents of St. Louis City and St. Louis County. Registration is required. The purpose of the parenting class is to help strengthen the entire family unit and to help parents raise more responsible and cooperative children. Parents will learn: positive discipline techniques that work; how to reduce power struggles and improve communication with their children; how to teach responsibility; and how to handle difficult situations or topics, such as drugs and violence. Cleansing & Detoxification For Returning soldiers From Iraq and Afghanistan
Beginning Tuesday, April 29, 2008, we will be hosting a cleansing and detoxification day for our returning warriors from Iraq and Afghanistan. All our services, equipment and tools will be available for them and their families at no charge. Lab Corp in St. Louis is also making their services available to us, so that we may track the biochemical shifts in the blood and urine of all the participants. This will be our first all day dedication and we look forward to sponsoring one day a month initially. If you know someone who needs our assistance, but would prefer another day, please call us. We are always available and open to our soldiers and veterans. Our plan is for a weeklong decompression camp here in Missouri, perhaps during summer or early fall.
