It is estimated that back pain afflicts over 31 million Americans and is the #1 cause of disability in young adults. Low back pain alone cost the United States $50 Billion last year. 80% of all people over the age of 30 will experience back problems at some time in their lives and 30% of those people will have a chronic recurring problem.

Each year, there are approximately 916,000 spinal surgeries performed in the United States, with the average cost around $38,000.00. According to a study published by the Department of Health the rate of back surgery increases almost proportionately with the number of orthopedic and neurosurgeons in a given area.
There are two types of back pain…Acute Back Pain that is defined by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders & Stroke as short-term pain lasting less that a few days to a few weeks. Acute pain is typically caused by an injury, a sudden jolt, working around the house, or an accident of some kind. Acute pain generally responds well to conventional non-allopathic therapy such as spinal manipulation therapy, exercises, or physiotherapy.

Chronic Back Pain on the other hand is defined by the Mayo clinic as “nonspecific” long lasting pain that presents for three months or more. In most cases of chronic pain it is difficult to pin down the true cause of the problem. Chronic pain does not normally respond to the same treatments as acute pain. Physical causes of chronic pain include problems such as degenerative disc disease, Sciatica, herniated/bulging disc, posterior facet syndrome, and Internal health issues. In the past the treatments for chronic low back pain have been less than favorable. However, with the amazing advancements in Non-surgical Spinal Therapy we now have weapons to use in the fight against chronic low back pain.

There is a new state of the art Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression System known as the DRX-9000. This is a true spinal decompression system that uses space aged technology to get to the true underlining cause of the problem.
